Buffalo Safaris Australian Water Buffalo Hunt
Barry and Sonja Jones of Buffalo Safaris have donated a fabulous 7 day, Australian water buffalo hunt (2X1) for 4 hunters!  Your party will arrive in camp on day 1 and return to Darwin on day 7.  This Donation includes the Trophy Fees for 4 water buffalo bulls, land transfers from Darwin to camp and back, and dipping and packing of the trophies for export.  Additional Non-hunters or minors hunting with their parents can be added at the rate of US$2200 per person. This hunt can be extended to 10 days (in 1 out 10) for an additional US$1000 per hunter US$400 non-hunters.  Hunters can take a 2nd trophy bull for our normal price - or a total of 8 buffalo Bulls for the group - other trophies as per our price list.  Excellent baramundi fishing is available in the local outback rivers.  With over 30 years of combined experience hunting in Australia and Africa Barry and Sonja are dedicated to providing a 1st class, free range, hunting experience for clients who demand exciting hunting matched to quality camps, meals, and customer service. They operate Australia's only fully serviced luxury hunting camp in a magnificent wilderness environment.  Camp accommodation is in spacious, fully furnished, two room canvas cabin tents with a bedroom, dressing room and 24 hour power complete with international adaptors. A large two-roomed communal marquee has a bar fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and reading materials in the living area and a spacious dining room. Facilities include unlimited high pressure hot showers and fully plumbed flush toilets.  A sophisticated remote area power system of generator, storage batteries and inverters supplies power for lighting, mains pressure showers, dishwasher, washing machine, refrigerators and other appliances to provide 24 hour power without disturbing the evening silence. Kukuzans Safaris-Krys Wessels-R.S.A. Eastern Freestate
10 day safari for 2 hunters, 2X1.   This Donation includes your stay in a 5-star lodge with all meals and beverages, daily laundry service, P.H. services, trackers & skinners.  All available game species may be taken for regular Trophy Fee rates.  This safari must be taken during the 2008 safari season (March - September).  Thanks to Krys Wessels of Kukuzans Safaris for this donation.

Namibia- Nolte Elite Safaris
Fritz & Petra Nolte have donated a 5 day plains game safari for 2 hunters including Trophy Fees for 1 kudu, 1 oryx and 1 springbok to be divided between the 2 hunters as they choose.  The Donation includes all meals, beverages, lodging, daily laundry service, P.H., tracker & skinner services and ground transportation during the hunt.  See their Trophy Fee list for additional species availability and Trophy Fees.  All major plains game species are available.  By prior arrangement, his trip can be upgraded to include leopard.   Expenses that are not included in the Donation are airport transfers ($350.00 per client) and field preparation of trophies ($250.00 per hunter)  Our thanks to Fritz and Petra Nolte of Nolte Elite Safaris for this Donation.

Alpine Hunting - Shane Quinn -New Zealand
This dream hunt for 2 hunters (1X1) and 2 non-hunters is for 5 days and 4 nights in beautiful New Zealand.  This hunt can be upgraded to 6 days and 7 nights at no additional charge if hunters wish to pursue tahr and chamois on the South Island.  The Donation includes transfers from Palmerston North airport and private charter flight to the South Island as well as the helicopter flights while hunting tahr and chamois.   5-Star lodge accommodations, gourmet meals, and all beverages are included.  Alpine chamois, Himalayan tahr, Red Stag, Sika deer, Sambar deer, Rusa deer, Fallow deer, Wild boar, Spanish goats and Arapawa rams are available as per Trophy Price List.  Possum shooting, ducks, geese and Black swans are also available in season.  This trip may be taken during February - July, 2009.   Thank you Shane, for your continued support of our Chapter!!

Adansonia Safaris - Limpopo Province, South Africa
Mof and Minnie Venter have donated a 10 day safari for 2 hunters which includes trophy fees for 1 Blue Wildebeest, 1 Warthog, 1 Impala and 1 Zebra.  This is a 2x1 hunt and includes all ground transportation, meals, lodging, laundry and field preparation of all trophies.  Additional species may be taken at regular Trophy Fee rates.  We want to thank Adansonia Safaris for their generous donation.

Zulu Nyala Lodge, South Africa
Zulu Nyala Lodge has donated a 6 day, 6 night photographic safari for two people.  This fabulous safari includes luxury accommodations and all meals.  Two game viewing activities per day in open-air vehicles are also included.  Zulu Nyala Lodge runs a first class business and can accommodate any add-on trips that you may desire.  Our thanks to Trevor Shaw and Zulu Nyala for your donation.

Crocodile Bay Resort - Costa Rican Husband & Wife Dream Trip!
Crocodile Bay Has donated 5day /7 night fishing trip for 1 angler, AND a 5day /7 night Spa & Eco Adventure tour package for 1 person.  This trip includes deluxe hotel accommodations in San Jose before and after the fishing trip, A $125.00 CREDIT PER DAY towards Spa or Eco tour activities,  5-star lodging, meals, domestic alcoholic  beverages, ground transfers and round-trip airfare from San Jose to Puerto Jimenez.  The trip may be taken from June 1- September 30, 2008 or 2009.  Optional back water fishing is also available.  This is arguably the Marlin capital of the world.  Thanks to all of our friends at Crocodile Bay for the generous Donations.

1x1 hunt for a Trophy Fallow Deer.  Includes trophy fee and unlimited days until trophy is harvested, wounded, or missed 3 times.  Other animals may be hunted with additional daily rates and regular trophy fees. This is a great hunt!!  Thank you, Alfonso, for your continued support.

Kido Safaris-Kwa Zulu Natal R.S.A.
7 Day plains game hunt will be conducted in and around a Big Five Game Preserve (60,000 acres).  This is one of only a  few preserves where black rhino can still be seen in numbers.  The hunt is a 2x1, seven day safari for two hunters. It can be upgraded to include the Big Five.   This safari includes all meals, lodging, beverages, trackers, skinners, daily laundry, and service of 1 professional hunter.  Hunt arrival and departure point is Richards Bay Airport unless otherwise advised.  Not included- airport transportation fees of $300 per client, tips, or Trophy Fees.  All species available per regular Trophy Fee price list.  This safari may be taken in 2008 or 2009.  A minimum of 4 antelope must be taken per client.  Thanks, Kido Safaris, for your donation.

 Double-A Plantation-Dale Harris-Darlington, South Carolina
Dale has donated a 1 day quail hunt for 2 hunters which includes lunch.  This hunt will be conducted on a 25,000 acre plantation where wild birds will be hunted in the morning and released birds will be hunted in the afternoon.  Dale keeps tabs on over 40 coveys of wild birds so you had better shoot straight.  This quail hunt is as good as it gets in our State.  This Donation is for the 2009 wild quail and shooting preserve seasons.  Thanks, Dale, for supporting our chapter again this year.

Custom .300 Jarrett Rifle by Kenny Jarrett
Chapter Member, Kenny Jarrett, manufacturer of the world’s most accurate rifles, has once again donated one of his fine rifles.  This year's rifle will be made on a Dakota rifle action and chambered for Kenny's signature cartridge, the .300 Jarrett.  After "tuning" this rifle to develop its' most accurate handload, the rifle was printing 3 shot groups that averaged .378"!!!  Test targets, the handload recipe and loaded ammunition will all be furnished to the winning bidder.  The rifle comes complete with a custom Jarrett leather sling, Talley rings & bases, a Jarrett fiberglass stock finished with a custom Polane-T military spec. paint job, polymer rosin metal finish, a custom trigger set at 2 pounds and a custom fitted Americase aluminum rifle case!  Normally you would wait over a year for one of Kenny's superbly accurate hunting rifles, but the winning bidder will be able to take this complete Jarrett rifle outfit home with them.  Make sure you attend the Fundraiser this year.....Kenny told us he just might bring along an additional "Surprise Gun" to add to the Live Auction.  Thanks

Shi-awela Safaris-Limpopo Province R.S.A.- Ken and Jo Ball
Shi-Awela Safaris has donated a 10 day plains game hunt for 2 hunters.  This hunt will be conducted as a 2x1 with trophy fees for 1 Waterbuck and 1 Blue Wildebeest included.  All other trophies may be taken as per their regular Trophy Fee price list. Package includes all meals, soft drinks, daily laundry and accommodations.  Ken and Jo are long time supporters of the Low Country Chapter and operate a first-class safari business.  Thanks Ken and Jo, for your valued friendship and support.

Quail Hunt - Burnt Pine Plantation, Madison GA
This Donation is for two 1/2 day quail hunts for 2 hunters.  The hunt may be scheduled for any time between October 1, 2008 and January 31, 2009.  Luxury lodging, all meals, and guide service are included.  The hunters will arrive for lunch on day 1 and hunt quail that afternoon.  Upon your return from the field, cocktails and dinner will be served.  After breakfast on day 2 you will once again accompany exceptional bird dogs in pursuit of the wily bobwhite quail.  Finally, you will be served a second delicious lunch before departure.

Whitetail Deer Hunt - Burnt Pine Plantation, Madison GA
This is a 3 day deer hunt for  2 hunters.  The hunt may be taken any time between November 28, 2008 and January 1, 2009.  Trophy Fees for 1 buck and 2 does, all meals, lodging and guide service are included.  This is where the big ones live!  Chuck Larson owner of Burnt Pine is a Life Member of SCI and a long time supporter of the Low Country Chapter.  Chuck states that he will not be held responsible for weight gain during either if these hunts!  Thanks, Chuck, for your continued friendship and support!

Rancho Caracol - Mexican Mourning Dove Hunt
Rancho Caracol has donated a 2 day mourning dove hunt for 1 hunter.  The mourning dove season is from December - February.  5-Star lodging, all meals, beverages, airport transfer from Harlingen, TX, ground transportation during the hunt, bird boys and the use of Berretta shotguns are all included.  A $185.00 license fee is not included.  Shotgun shells are available for $13.00 per box.  Rancho Caracol is adjacent to the largest whitewing dove nesting area in the world!  You will enjoy field hunts, brush hunts and waterhole hunts during your stay, and you can expect to shoot 4 - 10 boxes per hunt!   Chapter Members who have purchased this Donation in the past have returned with rave reviews of their experiences at Rancho Caracol and have become repeat clients.  This hunt must be taken during the 2008-2009 season and the winning bidder must be a new client.

1/2 Day Quail Hunt at Silver Lakes Plantation (no website)
Chapter Member, Don Marshall has kindly donated a 1/2 day quail hunt on his private plantation.  You will be served a wonderful, plantation style lunch and then head to the quail woods behind well trained pointers.

Caza Y Safaris Argentina-Jorge Noya- Dove and Pigeon
This 5 day hunt is for 4 hunters at Jorge Noya's luxury Santiago del Estero lodge.  Hunters often shoot more than 1,500 shells per day on this hunt!  Airport transfers are included and the lodge is only 1 hour and 20 minutes away by car from Buenos Aires.  This Donation includes all ground transportation, meals, and beverages. Night hunting for hares, foxes and vizcachas is available at no additional expense.  Duck and Partridge hunting may be added at regular rates and the trip can also be upgraded to include big-game hunting.  Shotgun rentals and shells are available at additional cost.  The dove and pigeon season runs from June 2008 - March 2009.  This Donation is only available to new clients of Caza y Safaris Argentina.  Thank you to Jorge Noya and Caza Y Safaris Argentina for your support!

Argentina Red Stag Hunt with Marcelo Gil Hunting
This 5 day Red Stag hunt for 1 hunter (1X1) will take place in the Argentina province of La Pampa.  You will be hunting on a private 25,000 hectare (62,500 acres!) hunting area which hold a very high number of red deer as well as pumas, european wild boar, asiatic water buffalos and several species of rams and wild goats.  Gold Medal stags are taken every year in this hunting area.  The Donation includes reception and paperwork assistance in all Argentine airports, transfers and ground transportation during the hunt, lodging, international meals and beverages of the highest quality (hard drinks inclusive), guide services and trophy preparation (skinning & salting).  Gun permits ($100 per gun), hunting license ($350 per hunter), tips and airline flights are not included.

Silvertine Wildlife Company Saskatchewan Estate Hunt for Elk, Bison, Whitetail Deer or Mule Deer
Silvertine Wildlife has donated a 3 day, 4 night Estate hunt for 2 hunters.  This Donation includes the Preserve Fees of $550 per hunter and a $1,900.00 credit toward Trophy Fees to be divided between the hunters.  Airport transfers from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, all meals, lodging, non-alcoholic beverages and trophy preparation are also included.  Not included are Trophy Fees above the $1,900.00 credit.  The hunting area for deer and elk is a 240 acre heavily forested property under high fence.  Bison are hunted on a separate 600 acre property.  Rifles, bows, crossbows and muzzleloaders may all be used during your hunt (no handguns).  Available species include White Elk (300" to 375" + SCI), Rocky Mountain Elk, Roosevelt Elk (trophies start at 350"), Manitoban Elk (325" - 440"+), Whitetail Deer (140" - 190"+), Mule Deer (150" - 200"+) and Bison Bulls (Gold 8 years+, Silver 6-8 years, Bronze 4-5 years).  Thanks to Steve Rahn for this Donation!

Rainbow King Lodge Premier Alaskan Fly-out Fishing Trip

Las Beatas Lodge Argentina Wing Shooting Adventure  (no website yet)
Long time friend and Chapter supporter, Alfonso Fabres of HuntinSpain has spent the last several years building a magnificent new hunting lodge in Argentina and his hunting program is starting up this year.  Alphonso has made a very generous Donation to give our Chapter Members one of the first opportunities to enjoy his new 5-star lodge.  The Donation is for 5 days of dove, pigeon and perdiz shooting for 4 hunters and 4 non-hunters.  The dove hunts will take place near a roosting area that holds OVER 5 MILLION DOVES!  Transfers from the Catamarca, Argentina airport, gourmet meals, beverages and lodging are included.  Rental shotguns and shotshells are available.  All Argentina big-game species are available and can be added by simply paying the regular Trophy Fee rates.  Shotshells, tips and domestic airfare to Catamarca are not included.  In addition to hunting, Alphonso offers a wide variety of other activities and amenities such as: spa services, a hot tub, swimming pool, nature tours, 4 wheeler rides, horseback riding and Tango and Belly Dancing shows in the evenings.  Excellent wild trout fishing is available in the river that runs through the lodge property.  Fishing is also available in a number of stocked ponds.  We saw numerous photos of Las Beatas on Alphonso's laptop at the Reno Convention.  This will be a trip that you will remember for a long time!

SCI Sables Edition .500 Linebaugh Revolver
Holly Peterson has donated the .500 Linebaugh revolver that she won in last year's Sables Raffle at the SCI Convention.  The revolver is in new, unfired condition (neither one of us wanted to shoot this monster).  The revolver will be on display at the Fundraiser in Charleston and will be sold at auction on the Chapter website shortly thereafter.
